The Trick or Treat Raffle — how it works

This October, every £1 you spend at Cases & Clues earns you one entry into our free Trick or Treat Raffle. There are over 500 prizes to be won:

  • 1 × Spooky Cabin Escape — a £350 Airbnb gift card for a night (or two!) in a log cabin with a warm fire, dark woods and zero phone signal for the killer to trace.
  • 5 × Halloween Hampers — a box of snacks, sweets and treats to fuel your next case night.
  • 495 × £5 Gift Rewards — 500 Detective Points added straight to your account, redeemable for £5 off any case.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The Promoter is Cases and Clues Ltd trading as Cases & Clues, of Unit 7 Europa Court, Dee View Park, Bumpers Lane, Chester, CH1 4NP ("we", "us").
  2. Eligibility. The prize draw ("the Raffle") is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, except our employees, their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected with the Raffle.
  3. Entry period. The Raffle runs from 00:00 on 1 October 2026 to 23:59 on 31 October 2026 (UK time) ("the Entry Period").
  4. How to enter by purchase. Every order placed on casesandclues.co.uk during the Entry Period earns one entry per whole £1 of the order value, calculated after any discounts and excluding delivery charges. Example: a £40 order earns 40 entries. Entries from multiple orders on the same email address are combined. No payment beyond the normal price of the products is required.
  5. Free entry route — no purchase necessary. You may enter for free by posting a card or letter including your full name and email address to: Trick or Treat Raffle, Cases & Clues, Unit 7 Europa Court, Dee View Park, Bumpers Lane, Chester, CH1 4NP. Each postal entry received during the Entry Period earns one entry and is assigned its own entry reference number, which stands in place of an order number for the purposes of the draw and the winners announcement. Postal entries have the same chance of winning per entry as purchase entries. One card or letter per entry; bulk submissions in a single envelope count as one entry.
  6. Refunds and cancellations. Entries from orders that are cancelled or fully refunded before the draw are void. Partially refunded orders earn entries on the retained amount only.
  7. The draw. Winners will be selected at random by computer draw from all valid entries on or before 2 November 2026, under the supervision of an independent adult observer. The draw is weighted by number of entries held; each entry has an equal chance.
  8. One prize per person. Each entrant (by email address) can win a maximum of one prize. Prizes are drawn in tier order (Airbnb gift card first, then hampers, then Detective Points rewards).
  9. Winner notification and announcement. Winners will be notified by email on 3 November 2026 to the email address used to enter. The winning entries will also be announced publicly by their order number (or postal entry reference) only — no names, email addresses or other personal details are published. Tier 1 and Tier 2 winners must respond within 14 days of notification to claim their prize; if a winner does not respond, we reserve the right to redraw that prize among the remaining valid entries.
  10. Prizes. (a) Tier 1: one Airbnb gift card with a value of £350, delivered digitally, subject to Airbnb's own gift card terms; the winner is responsible for choosing and booking their stay, and travel or extras beyond the gift card value are not included. Airbnb is not a sponsor of, and is not affiliated with, this promotion. (b) Tier 2: five Halloween hampers of snacks and treats (approximate retail value £40 each), delivered to a UK address; contents may vary and we will accommodate notified allergies where reasonably possible. (c) Tier 3: 495 awards of 500 Detective Points (redeemable for £5 off at casesandclues.co.uk), credited to the Detective Points balance linked to the winner's entry email address within 7 days of the announcement — no account setup is needed, and guest checkout entries are eligible. Detective Points are subject to our loyalty programme terms.
  11. No cash alternative. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash or credit alternative is offered, except that we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances outside our control require it.
  12. Use of data. Entry details are used solely to administer the Raffle and notify winners, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Public announcements identify winning entries by order number or postal entry reference only; no personal details are published without the winner's consent.
  13. General. By entering, entrants agree to these terms. We reserve the right to cancel or amend the Raffle if required by circumstances outside our reasonable control; any changes will be posted on this page. Our decision on all matters relating to the Raffle is final. This Raffle is a free prize draw and is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
